About Cheltenham Ladies' College
Cheltenham Ladies' College is an independent boarding and day school for girls, ages 11-18, located in Gloucestershire, England.
Entry at 11+
Entry at 11+ (Year 7) begins with an informal group session. Candidates are then invited to attend entrance exams.
Entry at 13+ & 14+
13+ (Year 9) is the key entry point for CLC. Registered candidates are invited to attend one of two Assessment Days in the Autumn term two years ahead of entry. Successful candidates are then invited to sit entrance exams in January for Maths and English. Firm or conditional offers will be made in February of Year 7 for September Year 9 Entry.
There are some spaces offered for 14+ entry (Year 10) but these are extremely limited. Candidates must undertake and interview. Successful candidates are invited to take written exams in English, Mathematics, General Science, Humanities, and a Modern Language.
Entry at 16+
The process for Sixth Form entry includes an interview, followed by examinations, which take place in the November prior to entyr. Applicants are asked to select either A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP).
