Wendy was educated at Roedean and studied at the Froebel Institute, London University, graduating in Primary Education. After a short spell in the special needs department of a senior maintained school she joined Garden House School Chelsea where she became the headmistress for 25 years. During that time, she established Garden House Boys’ School from inception.
During her headship, a considerable amount of time was spent on parents meetings, discussing the interview and entry process at 3+ and 4+ and later advising them on future schooling at 7+ and 11+. Parents were always welcomed and no question was ever too trivial. Referring to her vast of experience of the London schools and boarding schools, she advises parents that spending time with the family helps to find the best fit for their child. She hopes to alleviate the undue pressure that parents put themselves under during the selection and exam process. Wendy leads an active life whilst still following her passion for education and young people.
