Susie began teaching at Oakham School, moving to Eastbourne College to do support teaching and run the VI form day girls' house. She served as Head of Pre Prep at St Bede’s School, both before and after her children were born. In 1993, Susie relocated to Kuala Lumpur to run the English Department at Alice Smith School, before eventually returning to the UK and settling in Sherborne.
Since stepping down as Head, Susie has worked with Year 11 students preparing for Sixth Form entry and Yearr 13 students on their personal statements for university entrance.
Susie has learned over the past 44 years that learning is lifelong, especially for the children of today. Her passion is that pupils are educated for the future, which is unknown, and therefore, confidence and skills are vital. Susie has been a Head of Department, a Housemistress at Sherborne School, Deputy Head at Kensington Prep School, and for just over 13 years Head at St Christopher’s School, Hampstead. She is an Isi inspector, an accredited appraiser and mentor.
