Sandip graduated with a History BA from Queen Mary University of London, he then completed his History MA, which specialised in Global, Imperial and Postcolonial History at the same institution. Most recently, he has successfully completed his History PhD at King’s College London. His thesis investigated the agency of indigenous non-state actors in the provision of education for non-elite people across colonial and postcolonial India.
Sandip specialises in helping students across the educational spectrum and across all age ranges. This includes entrance level examinations at 11+ and 13+, GCSEs, and A-Levels, with a focus on History, English, the Sciences, and Maths. Over the course of completing his PhD at King’s, Sandip gained much experience in helping university students across the Arts and Humanities Faculty, with essay and dissertation planning, research, and writing. In particular, Sandip aims to encourage students to think about the types of learning strategies they adopt, where he helps them to not only improve what they are learning but how they are learning.
Sandip ensures that the sessions that he plans, and delivers are tailored to each students learning style and ability. Therefore, by adapting his teaching methods to each individual student's requirements he can not only engage them and maintain their focus but can also encourage each student to develop an enthusiasm for the subject, and for learning more broadly. Sandip’s students have gone on to achieve excellent results, with some students successfully getting admission into schools such as Winchester, King’s College School, and Eton College, and others achieving excellent examination results.
