Profile
Ross
US College Admissions
Ross has over 15 years' experience as an applications consultant, specialising in Ivy League and Ivy-adjacent universities in North America and Oxbridge in the UK.
Ross has advised over 200 postgraduate applicants in the last decade, specialising in computer science, politics, social science, the arts, and filmmaking. He has helped both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants secure places at prestigious institutions on both sides of the Atlantic, including Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews, LSE, Imperial, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, MIT, Brown, Cornell, NYU and USC.
In addition to his experience assisting with previous PhD applications, Ross has a background in academic research and is currently the director of a small publishing company. These three areas of experience enable Ross to help clients write their PhD applications and research proposals to the highest standard in terms of content, while also ensuring they are succinct and impactful.
His publishing company's focus is broadly related to this area of research. Works currently in preparation include a book on the philosophy of artificial intelligence and another on the political economy of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations. The artificial intelligence book is a collaboration with theorists such as Reza Negarestani, Benjamin Bratton, Nick Srnicek, and Helen Hester.
Ross has continued to assist two previous PhD clients up to the book stage, giving him a solid understanding of how an initial PhD proposal can evolve from conception through to completion, and how to build sufficient flexibility into it.
He has good availability and can begin immediately.

Ross' approach is highly professional, drawing from both his own research and expansive knowledge base. He gives cogent advice in an encouraging way that inspires collaboration, making him a pleasure to work with. Ross also possesses an uncanny skill in producing fresh, highly intelligent and thematic ideas for essays; progressing methodically in a way that has elevated my applications to levels that would be unattainable without his guidance."
