Profile
Jacob
GCSE Maths Specialist
Jacob, a fifth-year medical student at Cambridge, is an enthusiastic tutor with a very real love and curiosity for his tutoring subjects.
He particularly enjoys using real-world examples to both help understanding of a concept or to enable tutees to gain insight into why particular aspects of taught subjects are important. He has been tutoring for over 7 years, with significant success including pupils going on to achieve A*/9 grades in maths and the sciences.
In 2020, he co-founded an access project to empower disadvantaged A-level students to apply to study medicine at university, and has a great interest in enabling every pupil to achieve their highest potential.
In addition, his experience as a learning support assistant for children with special needs has allowed him to work with a wide range of requirements for specialised tutoring, and tailor individual support across the spectrum of education.
